Ian Pegler drums up a vibe at Stoneleigh Park
Last Wednesday, guests at the Stoneleigh Park Open Day took part in a spectacular drumfest. Following a tour of Stoneleigh’s expansive indoor venues and outdoor facilities, the group of over 20 guests enjoyed a luxury 9-course fine dining tasting menu. Then, to round off the afternoon they were treated to an interactive drumming session with the highly entertaining members of Drum Cafe.
Drum Cafe opened with a short display of drumming. Following this, using his expert conducting skills, the orchestra leader had the guests, each with their own djembe and boomwhacker joining in. His enthusiasm was infectious and within minutes the group spontaneously morphed into an impressive percussive orchestra. Everyone participated and even those of us who thought we had no musical ability soon got into the rhythm and together we created some hypnotic beats.
Interactive, fun and entertaining Drum Cafe make an impressive addition to any event. Be it conferences, exhibitions, workshops, award ceremonies, gala dinners, etc. they’ll add colour and a vibe to the occasion.
